Class Action Lawsuit V. Kemper
Fellow Kemper employees, if you were terminated as part of the 10/26/2022 Reduction In Force at Kemper, please contact The Bloom Lawfirm @ 818-914-7397 to join a class action lawsuit for Kempers violation of the Federal WARN Act.

The Bloom Firm
https://thebloomfirm.com/

This Firm has experts in the Federal WARN act and are just bad as--s in trial court. I look forward to seeing Kemper in court and joining the fight to stand up for workers rights.

That day where Kemper just fired it’s hard working, talented, and good hearted staff IN THE MANNER in which they did - made that RIF feel personal!

Please join me in this fight or have your attorney contact this law firm to discuss the next steps.

I consulted an attorney and we have a case. Kemper violated the WARN act. Seek legal advise and don’t sign the severance release until you speak to an attorney. Good luck everyone!

Per Linkden MH was actually a Senior Vice President reporting directly into the President. She doesnt seem to have a good track record staying at companies.

After 11 years working for Kemper I was fired via a phone call from HR. No warning, nothing. Just they are reducing the work force.

The reputation at Kemper has been awful for years. Few experience adjusters will even work at that company and Temps(Contractors) often decline placement there. Learning and Development (L&D), did their absolute best to train new hires through Kemper's revolving door. On Oct. 26th, all but 6-7 Trainers were laid off; including 4 Instructional Designers (the staff that create the courses, guides, and job aids). So much talent and experience (as most had years of Ins./adjuster exp.) just gone. This is Kemper's loss. They will never have talent of this magnitude again. Period!

Poorly handled lay off. And you have Duane Sanders who makes millions. He doesn’t care about anyone but himself. Kemper hired SVP - Melissa Hill, a very talented leader and let her go because she had a vision. She was making positive change but the good ole boy club has to get rid of the one executive female left. All remaining claims leadership is all MEN now. Are we in 2022 or 1960???

My wife was let go. She worked there for 1 year and her severance was 1 week. That is disgusting. If anyone decides to quit they should give no notice. It would serve them right for what they just did.

I used to work for Infinity/Kemper. A lot of people I know were let go in the Doral, FL office and I heard Orlando too. Thankfully I jumped that ship while I could and work for a better insurance company and they had the audacity of putting me in the “not rehirable list for not giving two full week’s notice” I knew Infinity/Kemper was a joke since day 1.

I don't know how many were laid off in Dallas, but it was a lot. At least 5 managers in my unit (including me) and several adjusters. There were other departments affected as well, including Directors and an AVP. The meeting didn't come across pre-recorded to me, but after hearing I was being laid off everything became a blur after that. Thankful for the 2 weeks of pay and severance, still mind blowing.

Please don’t name names when writing, this is an anon forum - personal info is not allowed. Would hate to see an important info being nuked by site mods just because someone mentioned a name or two.

Duane Sanders in the townhall meeting literally just ended the meeting with “Halt the Rumors” and do not speak about ‘what you don’t know to outsiders,’ do not use your social voice.
What ?!!

Fact they are more concerned that ppl are saying it was a pre recorded statement then what they did to the employees speaks volumes. Takes gaslighting to a whole different level.

Check it out. Seems all let go in CA may have a case under WARN ACT. Yikes. They must’ve let all of HR go to seeing is that it seemly wasn’t looked into. I’m sorry these employees were treated this way. Sadly, as a prior manager, I can confirm that this is not a place you want to work at if you value your sanity as I was regularly verbally abused by management.

Please note, my wife who was an SIU Manager was also laid off after 10 years of service. I work for an outsourced HR firm. After reviewing this case and the number of people laid off without warning, this places Kemper in breach of the WARNS ACT. Go gete'm!!! Know your rights. I've included information below: From the bottom of my heart, I wish you all well.

HELP IS AVAILABLE IF YOU FEEL YOUR RIGHTS HAVE BEEN VIOLATED
If you think that you may have a claim under WARN, you should consult an
attorney. Generally, where workers are successful in their suits, the employer pays legal fees incurred. However, if your suit is unsuccessful, you may be
liable for legal expenses. Under some circumstances, you may qualify for
legal services assistance based upon your income. Further information about
accessing such legal services can be found through your local Bar

If you are a union member, speak to your local representative or the union’s
legal department for specific information about possible legal claims.
Although the U.S. Department of Labor and your state have no enforcement
role in seeking damages for workers who did not receive adequate notice or
received no notice at all, they can assist you in finding a new job or learning
about training opportunities that are available to you whether or not you have
received a WARN notice. You may also call the National Toll-Free Help Line

This company is by far the worse. I lost 3 people on my team. They did a pre-recorded message with no sympathy at all. People have given 20 plus years to this company and this is how they were treated. Kemper will go down like the titanic for this.

I had the joy of the pre-recorded message today. That was so strange. They sounded like robots with zero compassion. I get a company making financial decisions but this was handled poorly.

SIU department also hit. Mike Hull and other managers and representatives. Shocking as our department was busy.
Brought into a teams meeting with a generated message that we were laid off. No sympathy or respect for an employee that gave the company 10 plus years! Update your resumes and get ready this company is going downhill.
