All i can say is WTF!!!!
I think most of us thought all this can happen to other companies but not Hy-Vee since they were considered notches above the rest of the retailers and a great place for a career and to raise a family with both a personal and business family. Turns out no matter if a business is Employee owned if its for profit the Money comes out on Top. The CEO and all his people under him were all YES People and see where that got the Company IN TROUBLE. I heard a story and I don't know if its true but if anyone can confirm that would be great. That when Rick Jergens stepped down and Randy stepped in he told Randy basically not to F the Company and what did he do F'd the company. I get that companies need to be creative but selling groceries got us where we were at and even though higher priced people were loyal and willing to spend the extra. You don't need to reinvent the wheel just improve on it. Do i think the company will survive YES but all the respect it once had is all gone they F'd that up royally. Hy_vee is now No different that Wal-Mart Kroger or any other grocery retailer and so the reality has set in that its just that another hum drum grocery retailer that has fallen from the Top. Im just at a loss Damn nuff said.
A quick Google search and you will find they are hiring and calling it HST 2 in India.
Population 8?
I guess you didn't see the 650 views. The silent majority. This is the site where we get to blow off some steam. If you don't like it, being as you are a corporate hack, GTFO.
Struggling to find help,Are ukidding me!!!Maybe they should have kept their employees they had instead of laying off and firing people a few years back.Very bad company.
The previous comment is so true. HyVee has lost the fact that customers and employees are the foundation of the business. Not the overinflated egos of their hack management and the money they are grossly overpaid for their HORRIBLE business model.
It’s not hard to pick out the comments and replies from execs and paid public relations people.
I have not lost respect for the great store employees, but there is no respect deserved by the decision maker puppets of Randy!!
Extremely disappointed Kroeger didn't buy HyVee. Now we'll wait and watch HyVee swirl down the drain to bankruptcy.
Hands down unless your just shopping specials at Hy-Vee Kroger has lower prices period. The big greek gods yogurt at hyvee was 5.99 everyday while at Dillons 3.99 everyday. How the he-l does that happen??? Cant be that much difference in how much they pay and if it is then no wonder Hyvee is falling behind.
Not sure How Hy-Vee got into the mess it's in but I can say Kroger sure knows how to navigate the retail grocery waters better. Seems like Kroger is Thriving and doing quite well with a proposed merger with Albertsons Safeway and Vons to the tune of almost 25B. Would make the Nations Largest Traditional Retail Grocery Chain even Larger with over 5K stores if all goes through. Yes Kroger is the Largest Traditional grocery chain Not Walmart the key word is Traditional Not retail chain which that would be Walmart.
I can't say enough good things about this company. Struggling to find help and management stepping in to make sure customers are getting their food just shows you they care.

WTF!!!!!!!
I'm Glad i Left The Company I just am sick to my stomach at the way Hy-Vee was touted as a hometown employee owned business but treated their employees like cr-p. I expected that from Wal-Mart even possibly Kroger but never Hy-Vee. The Walhbugers here in Topeka is a Joke and overpriced. I can go to Texas Roadhouse and get a 1/2 burger fry and drink for about $15 NOT the $21 they want at Walhburgers here in Topeka. Heard the chicken tenders, tots and milkshake were a joke in Topeka. Heard someone comment that the store Director Jordan Eslick was cooking burgers since they were short on Help. That's some messed up cr-p a Store Director with no real Kitchen experience cooking your burger. WTF!!!
