Thread regarding CGG Veritas layoffs

No room for talents

It's sad how few talented and capable employees remain at CGG. The best are long gone. No one wants to work in this kind of atmosphere that fosters unhealthy competition among employees.

It's crazy how little management cares about retaining the last remaining good workers who actually get the job done. Where is all this leading this company?

There is one courageous person who is bringing the company’s talented in front to senior management’s attention. If you work there it will be easy to find out about the initiative, now quite mature, and you should give your full support.

there are talented people around but they are surrounded by spineless managers who dare not say anything and just tick the same boxes on quartley reviews to avoid conflict.

The inner circle will take care of itself. The workers that you described are on there own. ‘Crazy’ is not the right word.

I think there's some very talented and capable backstabbing employees left in CGG.
