You have to stick around for 5 years to get that full vest - don’t count on that. Hock prefers to have about 50% less than the minimum required number of employees.

It is based on band, but it also based on job type. Hock favors R&D and engineers over administrative and business roles. So an IBC 5 software developer might get significantly more than an IBC 5 marketing specialist. Salary bands are the same way.
