First of all, I feel sorry for everyone who is affected, I hope that everyone will get better jobs soon.
I'm now wondering how this will all work further because my team has lost great people who did the most work. It will be a shortstaffed nightmare, but I don't believe that many survivors will accept their workload to be doubled.

All of my team, except for 1, were let go. The one who remains was the newest hire with the least experience. But, I was told that I could apply for any open positions that are currently listed. Gee thanks.
Only about 4 people were let go from Doral. No need to spread misinformation.
I used to work for Infinity/Kemper. A lot of people I know were let go in the Doral, FL office and I heard Orlando too. Thankfully I jumped that ship while I could and work for a better insurance company and they had the audacity of putting me in the “not rehirable list for not giving two full week’s notice” I knew Infinity/Kemper was a joke since day 1.
How many were affected by the layoffs?
In the town hall they said 339 we're laid off. If it truly is that small of a number out of 10,000+ employees I don't think we will notice much of a long term difference
I was a manager and had been at Kemper for many years and was part of the layoff yesterday. Some on my team were also let go. To say that we were all shocked is an understatement. It's a big blow. I loved my team, my piers, and really enjoy what I did. I will truly miss all of them. We really had an exceptional unit and environment. The message above is correct. This will be a massive short staffing nightmare.
