wellness day my a-s. My org was business as usual. No day off here. Glad all the DEI teams got to take a day off sing and clap all day.

It was an unpaid day off. How nice. But having a day off from working with a lying SLT is still good for your health.
Sounds like Qwest pre century link deal. Tons of layoffs across the board. Make it a skeleton and the bottom line is less money for a purchase. Only benefit back then was ctl hired many people back and yet here we are again. I’ve been under and over the water line many times. Represented side though. This will be the last. If a buyout is offered I’m done. Feel bad for the non union that they can just send you packing at any time. We used to have 4 buildings in my city full of sales and dispatchers and engineers. None are left. Buildings all sold. It’s a shame
The layoffs are sporadic and spread out the ones I know are in the side of business with sales, product and delivery teams of the services. If you are not aware of it then your dept is good for this quarter. Lumen is doing these quiet layoffs vs a major announcement and all at once. They are going quarter by quarter to stay afloat. Everyone should have a plan B doesn’t matter how good you are and review is they will chop without thinking what impact it would have. Lumen will continue this as long as sales are slumping

Sales will continue to have layoffs there is no real product to sell for majority of salespeople. Internal delivery teams are maxed out to take on new work

RIFs are occurring across several areas in product, delivery and sales
They are spread out so you will see effects if you work with those type of groups
Real companies don’t do these stunts. Sounds like left over DEI guilt or it’s part of the second iteration of DTL.
