Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Running on empty after taking on too much

I wanted a safer job, so I kept saying yes, and now I’m basically doing the work of three people. Big mistake. Somehow, I get it all done, but my health is paying the price. Pretty sure I’m not the only one here feeling completely wrung out.

I'm in my early 40's. This is honestly the first time I've experienced the really negative corporate environment due to layoff atmosphere amongst other issues.

It really reminds me of the kind of stuff my dad used to talk about at the dinner table. Always talking about disenfranchised coworkers and how people were not really working to do their best anymore but just trying to either lay low or survive.

I'll be shocked if I'm still with this company at age 45.

Sometimes being the one who didn't get the package isn't great.

I hear you and it’s a tough situation but those of us that manage to hang on will likely have to do the same.
