I have spent most of my career with Sungard AS. Lots of ups and downs but what an amazing group of people I worked with over these many years. Even as we close facilities, the people impacted were as reliable as they always were and did everything and more than required....even though they knew their days were numbered. Not because they are blindly dedicated to Sungard AS...but because they have values to work hard and give 100%. I have seen so much of this, along with customers concerned about our employees welfare...that somehow Sungard AS has hired and retained exceptional people over the years despite the company's struggles. I have made many friends along the way and I sincerely wish all the best with their next chapter.

- I was laid off 2017 at age 64. Successful career until then, but my VP and the VP above him changed that...as they themselves headed for the door! Turns out that was the best thing that ever happened to me. Good luck to everyone. Except the execs that did indeed drive this company into the ground.
@3edx+1jqJZu2u I dunno, they're already chopping benefits and vacation time. Minimum investment, maximum output!
Re: I'll be heading over to 365...don't know for how long as I am sure when they get their bearings they will cut what staff they deem unnecessary
You'll be deemed invaluable, no doubt. Best of luck.
I'll be heading over to 365...don't know for how long as I am sure when they get their bearings they will cut what staff they deem unnecessary. But it's been a great ride, Sungard, there may have been many bumps along the road but I was right where I was meant to be. So long good people. May the road always rise to meet you!
Good luck friend.
Yep. Lots of good folks. If only they could've ditched the few who led seemingly charmed lives for so many years while driving the company into the ground... before they drove the company into the ground. It's a shame, really.
