Thread regarding Highmark Health layoffs

Highmark/enGen vs Thryve quality

Are any teams tracking work quality in term of defects, efficiency, independence for Highmark vs Thryve?

Might be one of the good questions to ask to our leaders.

Benefit coding work is split between Highmark and Thryve and I see more work going to Thryve. Same I think applies to most areas.

If in the last few years quality has suffered, might be because more work going to Thryve?

Unfortunately that looks like the only go-to strategy for our leaders

Leadership doesn’t give a rat’s a$$. They only care that they have fully controlled your body and if not, punish you with higher out of pocket costs. They need to ensure they get their bonuses as well as a golden parachute if the company doesn’t succeed. The only thing they will understand is if the public stops buying their health coverage and/or WYM, NDK, MIN follows IBC’s plan… find a new platform. But will that happen?? They are concerned about costs just the same. What’s more efficient, having offshore workers that know absolutely nothing and further break the system or - taking care of their onshore workers that actually care about the customers and know how to fix the eff-ups. No, let’s just can the employees who have been loyal for decades to make room for ineptitude cuz it costs less. Yes, I’m jaded, but Eff them. I can’t wait until the entire ‘healthcare system’ - only concerned with money and not true causes/outcomes - burns to the ground in a dramatic manner.

They (upper management) don’t care about quality. Only money. Of course quality suffers the more work goes to Thryve. Lack of knowledge, skill and effort. It’s over.

I'm surprised they didn't respond with the usual, "I sense you are unhappy with the current environment. Perhaps this employment isn't a good match for you." (or something to that effect).

That was Dave Holmberg's and Matt Ray's (former CEO of HM Health Solutions) standard response to any question they didn't like. The so-called "Town Halls" were not town halls at all.....

A few years ago, I specifically asked in a town hall meeting, how they’re tracking the quality of offshore. The subject was averted by leadership. And they just said that all companies use offshore now. Hardly an answer to my question. I see a huge decrease in quality as more and more jobs go offshore. Not my opinion, but fact based on what I’ve encountered.
