Thread regarding HCSC (Health Care Service Corporation) layoffs

Collab days mean less wfh

What do you think of the mandatory collaboration days in CS? I think it is a bullsh-t ploy to get more people to come to the office more often.

There are people who truly need to collaborate too :)

Nothing like treating employees like children you don't trust, with latest flex 3 scolding. No one but GV had an issue with the way things were going. Would love to see productivity numbers comparison with another new VP de-motivation technique.

HCSC is tracking the frequency of all keystrokes and mouse movement to determine how engaged we really are at home versus in the office. The data shows less of those activities at home, and more in the office. The two options are to bring us back into the office to get more productivity, or to let the less productive employees go and rehire to find people who are more productive at home.

Not in CS, but from experience, anybody who ever tries to "Collab" in the office is promptly told to shut up and get back to work.

that is precisely what collab days are...MS talked about it in his town hall, they are bringing people into the office more often and using the bluepulse results to tell us this is what we wanted

The only ones that should be coming into the office are contractors and management to keep on eye on them. Everyone else is too valuable.
