Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

Layoffs around the corner?

Lately I've heard a lot of rumors about layoffs. Everyone has a hunch that they could be big. I don't know how true that is so if anyone has any insights, please share.

@2rjc+1juu2Zko It's pretty obvious that they were ignoring the problems and using Covid and lack of PTC's as an excuse as long as possible. Heck if Vernova spin wasn't happening, these jokesters would still be in their roles, with no accountability.

51 weeks ago the stock price was @$116. If you want to know if layoffs are coming, just keep your eye on the price after healthcare spins in early January, you’ll have a much better picture of Verona’s future, and as long as renewables is part of it, it doesn’t look promising.

I have herd everything from plant closing when Verona takes over. To layoffs in q4 to layoffs in 1q. Who knows but I do know one thing something is going on. If I’m still here at contract time I’m voting yes. Because I’d rather work here in fear of loosing my job everyday. Than be at a warehouse making $28 an Hour or back to the local burger shop making $20 an hour. So I would advise to vote yes to save our jobs.
