Thread regarding Morgan Stanley layoffs

I wish we didn't know yet

We now have weeks of thinking about this and wondering if this is it. I'd rather they just announce it today and do it at the same time. It's healthier. Yes, there's no time to prepare but if you're not prepared by now for the possibility of being cut in this economy, that's on you.

Best to use the time wisely. Hunt around make your position more secure.

RIF lists are already made back in July Aug. Only the fine tuning now for back and middle office. Front office you see the Q3 end state of your account, you might have a good idea who is up for the chop.

Don’t just sit doing long hours. Make yourself busy and land a few offers if possible and strengthen your position. That way, even if you are called into the room during the RIF you can walk with a FU attitude.
