Tough love exists in families too. Love how people equate ohana to guaranteed employment.
Layoffs list is already completed: Merry Christmas from Salesforce!!
A scumbag? Bit harsh. Imagine leading a company as big as SF through this current period, as well as through a pandemic. Lots of companies, tech or not, are going through a very challenging time.
Or maybe it will be after the holidays…
Source or all this speculation is all bullsh-t.
Salesforce is laying off thousands before the holidays ;
Merry Christmas for Salesforce!!
This isn’t Ohana
Salesforce: "Even though we said we'd never mandate return to office and that it would never work, everyone must return to the office for team building and culture!"
Also Salesforce: "We're cancelling all end of year and social events. You know, the ones usually used for team building and culture."
Salesforce culture is turning into Oracle’s culture
Ohana has evolved into Nohana
As an employee inside product side of Salesforce, I can say that this company more closely complies with its humanist ethics than any other I have worked for (Trimble, Accenture, Microsoft). Yes, there are layoffs because like every other American company the combination of profit-driven behavior and a thick layer of middle management creates toxicity, but SF is way more about eating its own dog food than almost anywhere else.
ʻOhana Means Family in Hawaian and Family Means Nobody Gets Left Behind or Forgotten.
At the end of the day, Salesforce reports to Wall Street and doesn’t care about Ohana
