How busy are you? Does the leadership really think that the remaining employees will continue doing enough work for two or three people?
I left that place 12 years ago and the d-mb a-s head hunters they hire still call and email me for my old job back. Lol. I’m self employed now making bank and drinking margaritas by the beach so it just makes me appreciate how far I have come along since those dark Alcon days.
Re-org was done by too-senior execs who don’t have a clue how the work gets done. They let some of our most talented and inspiring people walk out the building without understanding the impact this will have on culture and leadership. And now those of us staying have to do 3x work and update our resumes!!!!!
Alcon in Ft worth and US is a pressure cooker. It’s all about image. They relaunched their pharma division in 2022 with truly weak very weak products. They have far too many supportive teams to sales. No one in sales uses them.
This is the last place you want to be.
The reorg has no logic behind it. No one spend a minute to think. So it will massively fail and people would be expected to do more with less. We wont see AEDs for a while…
People cant wait for job market to get better so they can leave as soon as possible.
I was hoping they’d have voluntary layoffs so I can pick myself with 4 months pay plus benefits. That’s more than enough time to find a better job, better environment etc ppl are really disengaged
Is there any rumor about severance in europe? How much they pay?
I’m actually thankful I was included this time. I never recovered from the one in 2020. Yes, the expectation is to “handle it”…… if you don’t or you voice your concerns, you’re next.
