They say they’re eliminating positions, but over the past 16 months, it’s become clear that long-tenured employees—especially those close to 20 years of service and eligible for pensions—are being systematically let go. Higher-paid leaders have also been removed. There seems to be a clear trend of replacing experienced, older employees with younger, less experienced hires who cost less. The current leadership has created a toxic environment, and the company appears to be in decline.

It is even worse when Rowley gets on camera to describe what 'Smart Growth' is, like he's talking to a bunch of children. The company is mostly a disaster sprinkled with good people actually doing the work. At least on the CAPTG side, it is ran by actual id--ts. All the way from Sr. Director upward all the way to MJ. Their skills are playing political chess and not really having a way to organize teams to solve engineering problems. I feel for good people being let go, but these people are also smart enough to read the writing on the wall that was placed there in crayon (that they later ate) by again, Sr. Directors on up, all the way to MJ on the product and engineering side.
IT leadership is lying through there teeth to avoid existing labor laws.
Nothing new there - that's the COX way.
