Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

Are we leaving DSD?

Of course Mondelez isn’t leaving dsd! Can you imagine how bad their numbers would look if all at once, all customer business teams could no longer force in 100 cases of Oreo for an end cap display that will never exist! Even when the store already has 100 cases of Oreo in back stock from the last display that never happened!
They are committed to DSD, they are stuck! Stock numbers would plummet so fast and they already aren’t looking good.

There are way more cheeze it displays now that they’re being forced into Walmart to deal with, meanwhile nothing for nabisco cause they don’t want to give up space needed for All the forced in product they have to deal with. The DMs don’t understand this, they’re still living with that 2000s mentality. Cut our dsd and force it in like the cheeze its and we’ll have displays. Walmart leads don’t care about what sells, or any cr-p you show them in that pitcher app. They just care about getting all the stuff out of the back room onto the floor and out the door, and they don’t want to give us the space to bring something in that is unnecessary.

Working for Walmart is a way better job than a Mondelez ftow. Same pay, don't have to use your car to travel store to store and way more promotion opportunities. I can't believe we can keep anyone halfway decent in a ftow role.

We can’t get anyone to work because once they start, they’re thrown into a Walmart with 300 cases and no where to put it so they freak out and quit, realizing there’s a million better other jobs out there.

Wrong. It's way more than field sales. You think they e-mail the cr--kers to the stores?

Not wrong! The amount of product that shoved in stores that is completely unnecessary is mind boggling!
Field sales is the only people they would cut, customer business teams would remain. What they pay to field sales isn’t as much as you think it is! Leased cars that aren’t free, reps pay for them every pay period. This organization has become a s*%t show!

I think the stores would do better than most of our ftows. Also stocks go up when you cut costs and leaving DSD would save millions in cost
