T-minus 10 days until another batch gets the boot. The managers are scrambling to CYA to stay off the hit list. Good ones will be let go while the cr---y ones get to stay all because of who they are friends with outside of the office.

Not sure how this latest layoff hasn't hit the news feeds with the other companies. By my count, it looks like over 800 were let go this time. I'm hearing rumors of another one in March. The leaner the company, the easier to sell off. This company has done it before, they will do it again.
@hfnx+1kCnO0Xe I heard greeter at Walmart. But don’t take my word. I’m not one to gossip.
has anyone seen CB since BB was dethroned
Ok C.B keep preaching nobody likes you . Shocker.
The play is to make a stink to Congress about which companies are taking government infrastructure funds (and other programs) and what Elliott Management via Windstream is doing with these monies. Once word gets out that Windstream along with Elliott management is using the money to enrich EOs while laying off Americans then game is over - but you have to make enough noise for this to get the media's attention.
FYI - Any IT person that was worth anything.....has already left.
@9zst+1kCnO0Xe
That doesn’t make any sense. Why would a Software Powerhouse get rid of software developers?
The last of the Xeta employees gone. Windstream bought them and gutted a great company.
We had IT developers? All our applications were third party developed. most applications never worked. 3GIS, NetViewer, OFSC, Gcomms, all stink. Let's not even get into the VPN client(s). Anyconn3ct was not great, F0rtinet is somehow even worse and now those firewalls...
I can tell you know offshore has no clue what they are doing. This is terrible.
A pathetic joke that works circles around most others. It’s not offshores fault that some domestic techs are so entitled they are too stupid to know they are stupid. Everyone had equal opportunity, they just had better leaders and better work ethic. It’s that simple.
Offshore is a pathetic joke on a good day. This is terrible news for our now former co-workers, and our customers.
I don't know how much deeper we can cut. But I'm sure TT will make his bonus.
Offshore was not a winner in this. You always want to blame offshore, but what have they done? Work. They did the job they have been paid to do. If you want to place blame, place it where it should be. The Sr Director that was let go was by far, without question the best leader I have ever seen. Anyone who ever worked directly for him didn’t want to move elsewhere because he worked as hard as everyone else. He worked tickets to help people catch up and he made sure the workload was fair. offshore lost him, several months ago they lost a manger they had for years, at the same time they lost another manager. I would be shocked if the new prime manger stays with the way she is treated.
@9uhv+1kCnO0Xe I assure you offshore is not the winner here. They have lost several of their most trusted domestic leaders in the last few months and they are not in a good place right now. I will be surprised if the offshore group does not stage a revolt after this last round.
IT developers were hit today. Don't know how many. We were given a speech about lowering costs, elimination of redundancy and rasing earnings.
Any idea if there will be more rounds?
Almost all of domestic repair was let go today. Looks like off shore is the winner here.
@9afu+1kCnO0Xe
I know multiple techs and leads and at least one Director in repair, not sure about other departments.
Haven't heard anything yet, who's affected?
It started.
You know they layoff on the 3rd Thursday of every month!
Managers and Techs that don’t have their nose up someone’s as----e or don’t have personal relationships or dirt to save them. When you are a female throwing that C card around, you get pick of the litter. She is so hateful with the way she talks about the techs while she’s working from the beauty salon. Fooled all of you with her face a-s emails. When that day rolls around, ask yourself what dirty work she had you do in order to keep her hands clean. She’s been doing it since Deltacom. Took out several since she moved to Elite. Keep singing her praises …. You are just hanging yourselves.
'Just start looking for a new gig. I was cut in November and now have multiple offers at more money. There's no loyalty at WE and the ship is sinking.'
Why would anyone want to stick around if they aren't happy? If you can read this, then you can find a job elsewhere.

Another A list sudor is looking to buy us out. I would expect them to gut us like a fish and leave the carcass behind.
Our network is worth $$$ to someone just for the backhaul
@sqt+1kCnO0Xe managers were hit in the last 2 rounds. Not just techs.
Happy New Year! Don't let the door hit you on the way out..
Our Sales and revenue are down. Tech as an industry is hurting . Another round wouldn't surprise me.
Failed attempt at a sale to Zayo a year ago says it all. The actual value vs what investors think it's worth are 2 very different things. The board and executives need to wake up to reality and sell off the assets.
Are you saying that we are cutting managers instead of workers this round?
