Wondering what people’s thoughts on this new IPF system are… it’s so hard to get anything other than the default strong rating it’s super demotivating. Why work hard if all your going to get is the default? Also it makes it so when reorg time happens there is no way to compare people and you lose talented staff who get ranked the same as everyone else.

Only thing that has changed is pre pandemic they came to work, They never did anything though.
From my experience it’s mostly luck…
If you get a lower rating just sc--w over your manager in the people survey (lobby other team mates to make an even bigger impact. But do it subtle). Won't help but it might make you feel better.
I got a lower rating...feedback compared to peers you did not deliver the impactful work..even though i deleivered everything they asked, did not lead enough. Question, can i ask for them to open my window so i can leave the team if another suitable position comes up in shell, obviously this lower rating means it will be difficult for me to get another job. If i ask to open for me to apply, will it affect how long i stay in my current job?
Shell stopped being a meritocracy years ago. Everyone knows what the focus of leadership is these days…
How long was your end of year review, mine is set for an hour later this wee. Seems too long unless i am in the under performing category, feeling deflated now.
Very timely. JG3 role in the trading group (USA) so I realize my base is better than many parts of Shell. I'm in the group bonus pool not commercial.
My manager shared my "strong" ranking today with me. I had been ranked as "higher" along with 4 members of a 15 person team. HR wouldn't allow it: there are apparently only two "higher" spots or room for one "outstanding" in this group.
You're right, it is super demoralizing. The system feels as if you're prevented from recognition or the extra reward that comes with Higher ranking.
2022 was the most challenging of my career, and being boxed out definitely isn't conducive to morale...
I got the same IPF as people who haven’t even come to work the last 2 years.
Salty already and they aren't even released until Friday!
