Anyone else watching all the comments from different companies, along with the news of layoffs, and wondering when it's our turn? The anxiety is real waiting for the hammer to drop.

Well the CIO is already cheering up the layoffs of Google and Microsoft .. I am suspect they will just follow the same path...
USAA is progressively becoming a difficult company to grow in your career as it's become a lot about dodging cost cutting bullets. You're lucky if your program is not trimmed. This means you cannot work on lower priority programs.
I can tell you with some authority that there will be cuts planned in the ECIO organization. Not certain when these cuts will happen yet. The CIO is a cost cutting individual and is heavily focused on finding opportunities to enable cost efficiencies. Programs and products may get trimmed and if so, then those individuals will be impacted.
