Thread regarding Hy-Vee layoffs

Revamped Ecommerce?

Have heard they are going to try and revamp the e-commerce program and add automated fulfillment centers in cities. Has anyone else heard about the new direction they are trying to go with this? Good idea? Bad idea? Not sure I suppose.

They are not going be opening any stores anytime soon in Indiana. Randy E set out a plan last year about expanding in 5 other states. He did a public announcement about this expansion. One month later HyVee is laying staff off and cutting labor across the board. All the signs show HyVee is having financial problem. They have Since put a hold on these projects. HyVee doesn’t have the money right now. HyVee is also in the process of selling its building and store properties and leasing them instead to help with cash flow issues. They have already sold 250 million dollars in properties and stores to keep from going bankrupt. HyVee can only do that so many times before they sell them all then be forced to bankrupt the company.

Is there a Hyvee store that is in the construction phase in Indiana at this time? Progressive grocer reported over a year ago Hyvee would open its first store in Indiana. Where is it?

Do you remember when Randy even made a video talking about how they still are expanding down south Evan though they were laying off staff. That was the first sign things were in trouble. I love how Randy will lie to everyone’s face and say everything is great but deep down he knows HyVee is going to sh-t because of him. He wants everyone to take responsibility for his failures. He blame YOU for his problems. The problem is his idea don’t work out and he just keeps pushing harder and wasting more money on terrible idea. I’ve grown up in Iowa and live in the south. Know one in the south has never heard of HyVee or even cares about them. Stop wasting money on national tv ads for people that can’t even shop your stores. Get your house in order before you start new ideas.

I thought Hyvee announced a couple years ago, they were expanding into Indiana, and southern U.S, with a major warehouse planned at Nashville. ...how us all of that progressing?

They are going yk build 6 new dark stores for e commerce. They have said they have figured it all out. Rumor has it. The reason they closed those stores before was because Randy E failed them.
