Thread regarding Shell Oil layoffs

Anyone expecting shrunken bonuses?

Based on the general economy as well as new CEO... I would not be surprised if bonuses are reduced via "management adjustment" (ie: the real BPF is x, but it is reduced down to y) even if our financial results are good in order to be "good financial stewards" for the stockholders / cash preservation / yada yada. Anyone else think this is going to happen?

I disagree; brand new CEO is going to make a splash. I think there is going to be a "pleasing" BPF, not outrageously high, not disappointingly low, just solid - something like 1.3 or 1.4. I think there will also be adjustment to pay ranges - no across the board raises, but some other kind of adjustment based on benchmarking that rewards some job grades, leaves others with minor increases and leaves many disappointed with little upward adjustment.
