Surprised we haven't had any major layoffs. We are probably among the few large technology companies that haven't laid off. Also with some of our big clients laying off, our revenue should have reduced.
Of course the VBO was sort of a layoff with around 300 people accepting.

Hearing some middle management was let go today in Weston. Probably the round is just getting started
In a recent all hands our CEO said more than half of the questions they received were seeking assurances there will never be layoffs. Seems a blatant lie. Not sure who would ask such a question, leave alone most people. People are more interested in whether there will be layoffs in the next few months, not in the entire lifetime. Their reply to the question, equally strange - "we cannot assure there will be no layoffs".
You can only do so many VBOs. I have never received so many conflicting signals from an employer. Easier to just go in everyday expecting to be laid off. Then when I make it 5pm without being escorted from the building, I’ll be pleasantly surprised.
Layoffs were for people nearing retirement so people on the higher end of the pay scale so they would have saved more than you think.
Given what they pay, it's not like they'll save a ton by laying people off.
Its only February.
