Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

#Avaya Employees & $AVYA Shareholders UNITE

There is a group with a very bad agenda trying to reduce the value of Avaya for their own gain.
The key big investors are pulling together a group to challenge the board from allowing this happen.
Help the CEO as he is fighting this group with all he has. He needs help from shareholders. Only shareholders have the legal power to fight this.

Look at that! The shareholders were the only group fighting for Avaya to avoid BK. I bet the kit of you regret insulting the investors, where your own board and execs will strike a deal to protect themselves and send u all to bk

You are correct about ham of converting on premises licenses to subscription licensing and making them count as cloud seats". That was not only completely ridiculous, but I dont trust any employee who sang that song and went along with it, especially our brainless marketing department.

HOWEVER ---- Avaya clients dont deserve this. The legacy engineers (not the soundbite phoney ones) dont deserve this. We need to fight to help Avaya figure it out. The installed base should not suffer because of The Scam Cloud Strategy of the previous 3 years and the bullsh-t marketing that falsified the story.

Bankruptcy seems inevitable because the top brass is in a reactive state of mind. Customers are leaving Avaya because many don’t see a solid scalable digital experience, employee lay-offs, and lack of sustainability.

The fundamentals of the company are weak. I used to work for Avaya and i do not know why people in threads like these write gibberish about saving company etc etc. What does Avaya produce of value really that it will survive, flourish is a far cry. The number of UC and CC seats they say they have, a lot of them are ghost seats and every UC or CC customer today on Avaya platform is going to replace it with something that won’t be Avaya. At best, some loyal customer will stick but will that be enough? Sure customers leave all the time but companies produce new products and evolve that allow new customers and logos to fill that gap. Avaya has been evolving for the last 10+ years, and everyone still harps the same tune. At best Avaya will dump UC and in CC they will come out with a CCaSS product that is half baked and will be competing against truly innovative and east to deploy product companies. Avayas decline is nothing new, I personally was in a rut worried about my job everyday still doing my best all day everyday but this company has been ruined by truly bad leaders over the years. And oh that sham of converting on premises licenses to subscription licensing and making them count as cloud seats! Who does this kind of stuff and then suddenly one day you are transformed? Sorry this is a mix of my frustration from the days I wasted working for Avaya but still after leaving i feel bad for the time i wasted there, it was mentally exasperating. And i hate it when people like in this post ignore facts and just make it sound like a corporate fight! Avaya would continue the downhill slide like it is doing since 2010 and it will just have it spurts of accelerated falls like last quarter. Its a slow cooker and really i feel for all my amazing ex colleagues who are still choosing to get slowly roasted here. Trust in yourself and get the heck out, there is a better work life out there….and believe me its worth more than the severance paycheck if you are waiting for one.

The only people this is going to help is stock holders...avaya has at best a skeleton crew of techs.. most of them are retirement age with a bell shaped head ... they are basically un-trainable! All the talent has been forced out or left BP keep the company afloat both selling and installing. They gave up the fbi contracts with out a fight (actually without even going to the table) Avaya is a cloud company unfortunately that cloud is really just smoke

Have you all checked this out? A LOT has changed in the last 24 hrs.
I was hesitant to trust, yet this feed is solid. More employees should engage. The shareholders are fighting back to avoid bankruptcy. And based on what they are sharing, we all have a right to avoid it, and there is no reason for Avaya to be labeled for bankruptcy, except for the later bond holders who are the ones who are playing pretty dirty to prevent Alan from being able to do his job.
This is the first time I feel hopeful. Inspired.
Oh. And those of you who didn't trust Theo King. You were wrong. He is why Avaya may be able to fight this.

Done. Sent a DM. Got an immediate response.
We have always read about this corporate groups seizing big companies. It is unfortunate that Avaya made itself vulnerable for this bad actors. Yet at least there is power in numbers and we can do something about it.

Well, at least we finally understand what is really going on here. And, most of us have shares and can join in! I finally feel like I may be able to contribute in some way. Have felt helpless prior. Thank you.
