Hock does not ban Holiday Parties. You have a line you need to hit for bonus up to 150%. If you are over 150%, you can do a party without affecting that. Otherwise, it will come out of your profit and your bonus. You want your bonus a little bit higher or a company party? Your choice.
@1tsl+1kbfkNUg This is a big difference at Broadcom. Broadcom tends to pay very well, especially for engineering, but all other perks are gone. Hock basically bans holiday parties and generally any other sort of social event. If you want to have something your local team has to pay for it by themselves and keep it a secret. This was true before Covid, it is really true now.
Do we know rough numbers?
Number mix between hardware and software staff?
Sales vs Tech roles?
Which offices are the busy offices?
The support team was kicked out in June. Support was to be relocated to Poland. Part of the replacement engineers told Hock to go to fu-k. The Broadcom footprint is minimal in UK
RSUs = yes. Annual gatherings = not for the company as a whole but individual teams/BUs May organise but don’t have that insight.
How many staff are there in the UK?
