Who is responsible for pricing at Giant Eagle? I understand costs have gone up but GE is over priced on everything! I can't defend the pricing when customers comment & I will not longer be shopping here. The levels that they are price gouging is immoral. Don't even get me started on the absurd cost of gas at GetGo. Even with the Advantage Pay they're still consistently $0.20-0.30 higher than gas stations within a mile. Shame on them
both!

You can thank diaper wearing, classified document stealing Brandon for your $200 shopping trip.

As stated on other threads, GE has a very blotted corporate staff. Over 40 VPs that have fluffy nonsense titles and no real financial responsibility linking to a P&L. Then with over 100 directors, and middle managers, GE’s corporate overhead alone is over $100M annually. Fuel perks is expensive, which is why they’re trying to get people to switch to MyPerks. MyPerks is a joke compared to Fuelperks. This is why everything is more expensive at GE. Get a Costco membership. Paper towels, toilet paper, laundry and dish soap is much cheaper. Hopefully a legit competitor moves in soon and mops the floor with them.
Prices are ridiculously high at Giant Eagle because you have to pay for the fuel perks program. Do the math you aren’t saving anything on gas. I switched to target and Walmart long ago
Customers are starting to notice the high prices because the stores are not busy anymore. Christmas week in the stores were not busy like years past. And New Years week has been slow as well.
They aren't just increasing retails to match cost increases, they are increasing prices on items where the cost hasn't changed as well. They're also charging more for items at Market District than the same items at a "normal" Giant Eagle
Prices at Giant Eagle are OUTRAGEOUS! They are now blaming high prices on inflation and taking advantage of it
Getgo has been price gouging for the last several months. They are making record profits on fuel.. They are making up for all the lack of business at the grocery stores
But but but...they graciously gave all TMs enrolled in the awful My Perks program $100 in rewards as a "thank you" (granted $50 was due to someones mistake...). You can save that much every month (if not week) by just shopping elsewhere. It's ashame when you can't even afford to shop at the store you work for...
