Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

I walked out on my own after the last round of layoffs in March. Too many great people being terminated WITHOUT any reasoning behind it. I was at 75% of my number as a Sales Executive, I have 13 years with the company and walked out the door without any notice. Left on my own!

My customers are all moving away from Avaya, I have a great relationship with all of them and two large customers pulled my aside and told me that they have been asked by their senior leadership to look at alternatives to Avaya. Large customers.

Avaya hasn't been able to attract top talent for over a decade. AM was watching soap operas for two years after Vonage fired him. He might have been the only candidate who answered the phone.

After the new CEO got that $10 Million dollar bonus, I just felt so defeated and said to myself, its time for me to look for another job.

Since he joined, he laid off all these people, EOS a lot of products and said we will not go into bankruptcy no matter what but look at the stock. And that deserves $10 Million....

I just hate how we continue over the last 10 years to pay these executives, c-level and vps all this money and they usually don't last over 2-3 years but the individual contributors who have stayed with the company for 20-30 years get treated so poorly.

I didn’t know HOW bad it really is there until I went somewhere else. The culture I don’t think could get any worse than it is unfortunately. Very toxic environment.

Avaya is to be the number 1 by choice destination place to work we are told.. LMFAO

I hear from folks over in the UK the organisation is oversubscribed with colleagues wanting to take the very attractive severance packages..

I don't know anybody who's not looking.
