Has anyone moved internally recently? Has anyone had luck or grass greener doing this?

Run away from this place asap!
@kp dont forget you also dont see any promotional increase in your paycheck until March of the following year!! If that doesn’t suppress internal promotions I dont know what will.
As someone who moved internally I can say without a shadow of a doubt it was the d-mbest thing ever. I moved into a position I’ve been after for a long time. Here’s what I’ve learned. BNY is the Temu version of any kind of financial institution. Nothing we do here is remotely interesting no matter how hard the EC tries spinning it. If you want to really expand your career and be happy you gotta leave. Also, do not forget that no matter what the largest possible pay increase you can receive for an internal move (promotion) is 15%. So if you move into a senior level role you’re likely going to be underpaid by 30-40k minimum depending on where you are now.
I was offered an internal move. It sounded good until they said it would be a lateral move with no pay raise. No thanks!
If you’ve landed on making a move, look externally.
I had moved internally and wish I hadn't. It's not greener, just worse. If you don't know the new position in and out like the back of your hand going in, you'll be miserable. Training is non existent, so your life will be h*ll until they decide to lay you off.
That would be stupid to do. Put the effort into finding a better company.
No.
You can run but you can’t hide.
Unless you are top senior management, you are just a firing waiting to happen here.
This place is bad beef in the can.
