Thread regarding Bose layoffs

Cuts can’t fix this mess

Cutting lifeboats, each cut is a lifeboat leaving. Pro, PTS, retail, all of these cuts are never coming back. If the root cause is bad business all the cuts in the world can’t make this move. Eventually the assets will be gone and nothing else can save them.

You nailed it, @ovia+1le2w2mU. Instead of reviewing their bad business and changing their strategy, they resort to cuts as a solution, which cannot be a long-term solution. The elephant in the room will eventually have to be addressed.

Whenever the company has had financial problems from poor sales, etc., either Pro or ASD would have a good year, and bail the company out. Selling those divisions off brings in badly needed money in the short term, and ensures the end of Bose Corporation before too long. Bose isn't really making much else that people want to buy.

Finally, Bose is spinning off Bose Professional as a stand alone company. I also heard ASD is next so Bose CED can focus on their failing business. Buckle up, things are about to get interesting.

The elephant will be laid off, and the giraffes will be expected to pick up the slack, and do the elephant's work in addition to their regular giraffe work. And the fat cats at the top will continue to flail with incompetence.

Why is Maresca still on the Board of Directors? He should have been sent off for letting Hess lead the company into disasterland.
