I'm curious if the people who were affected recently are satisfied with the severance package that was provided. I know being laid off is far from ideal, but to be honest, with decent severance I wouldn't mind all that much. It would help me get a new start that I've been hoping for with less risk.

This is just a friendly reminder that providing a whole year of health insurance to the 96 people laid off yesterday would have cost CEO Matt Calkins approximately one-tenth of one percent of the value of the stock he holds in Appian.
My severance package was barely more than 1 months pay. Honestly very meager compared to many that I have seen from other companies doing layoffs.
I also received payment for the entirety of January and then February. It’s not a decent situation at all - and in this job market 1.5 months of severance pay is not a “great new start.” Finding a job while you’re already employed would be the much safer bet.
I think different employees received different severance. I heard my teammate received a pretty compelling package that included 3 months salary.
My severance was pathetic. I was let go on Jan. 11. They paid me for the entirety of January and February and that was it.
