Thread regarding Nielsen layoffs

Nielsen....pay attention! What makes a company a great place to work? I'll start....

Great companies try to meet their employees' mental, physical, financial, and emotional needs. As a result, employees are often more productive, satisfied, and willing to stay at the company long-term.

SHARE THE WEALTH

Reward your employees when you reach successful milestones. Organization accomplishments are a team effort so have a plan to reward performance.

RESPECT

The best leaders make sure that all employees are always treated with respect and in a civil manner. Leaders should not judge and must remember their employee’s output makes a huge difference with company success.

The people who bought Nielsen don’t care about you or anyone. Read up on the horrors they’ve inflicted globally, see: Peru & Argentina. Prepare for more Nielsen departments to be sold off. Nielsen got themselves into tremendous debt & sold themselves to some pretty hideous people to save themselves, at our expense. And now these new owners are getting the most out of their investment by slashing everything they can which is not surprising. Nielsen leadership is responsible for mismanagement and getting us where we are, but they got their bonuses so what do they care. Slack cut, no raises, no more small “gift cards” so employees can buy items via the Nielsen catalog, offices shuttered, layoffs, no promotions, no hiring, etc etc. It’s only going to get more intense. I don’t know what the end game is, but Nielsen will likely look drastically different in a year’s time to two year’s. I can only hope the departments likely sold off will end up better off without yet more layoffs.

They don't care about employees. We're nothing but a number to them. There is no loyalty.

They don't care. I hope everyone will write what they think in pulse survey, but I bet they don't care about that either.
