Well Avaya friends it’s taken a round trip of 10,000 miles for me to accept that Avaya isn’t and won’t be the “Destination Place To Work“ and really don’t know how many more times I needed to hear that phrase but luckily I had my partner with me to keep me sane.
I really thought there would be a ground breaking new strategy, ideas, plans and objectives but no – nothing has changed it’s just the same old Avaya fudge repackaged, spun and churned out by the very leaders who have driven Avaya to the train wreck it now is.
The arrogant smugness and self congratulatory vibe from the Dubai folks was breath-taking and it felt like they thought they had gotten away with tanking Avaya although it was clear that they read The Layoff which made a few of us smile. There were some good people in the room but I just don’t think they want to accept what a mess we are in.
I’ve got my awesome “Future Force“ team photo memento though so it’s not all bad……….
I hate to say it but start updating your resumes because the Avaya we all know, and love is dead in the water !
