Thread regarding Splunk Inc. layoffs

Is this a cult?

joined splunk this year after being with my prior employer for a decade. splunk lured me away for about 40% more money. i get here and i get this sense with the tees on zooms, this horse being shoved everywhere, and well, what i have come to feel is a sense of arrogance aroound the success of the software.....this holier than thou attitude. really somewhat shocking to me and only been here 45 days. i feel like i made a mistake. i liked my old company and worked with lots of good down to earth people. eh

I believe you. Their public image is def different than the reality. And there seems to be a ton of green people here. Like people with 1-3 years of “splunk” but they’re at some other level. It’s really making me feel like I made a huge mistake. And it seems like no one trusts any mgmt.

You are correct they give candidates large raises and then the candidates find out place is a disaster. And they fire people left and right monthly and that's why splunk hadn't done major layoffs because of the constant firings. I know all their dirt and how they would lie to auditors and customers to sell their cr@ppy cloud service, which is a disaster.
