From friends that are still employed, the feedback received from the remaining staff has Kinney on high alert. The weekly Town Halls are focused on giving the speakers a “warmer” presentation but they continue struggling to connect with the hourly employees.

Survived another week, what a sad place to be at, the stress of the unknown is close to intolerable.

And don’t call this a growth opportunity!

To the people who were part of the layoffs. While it was painful and probably life changing to many, you now have the opportunity to move forward with your lives. Use the severance pay to plan for the next stage of your work life.

We who remain, while yes still having a job are overworked and afraid of our own shadows.

When will I be called into an HR meeting and told that I’m being let go?

No merits means the extra workload will not equal more pay.

No promotions in my future.

Will my job be outsourced?

Will my position be eliminated?

Who will I report to this week?

The stress level we are experiencing is not in balance with the pay. Everyday is draining. Would not be surprised if current employees start using more time off or start taking medical leave of absences.

Yes it is that bad. People here in Tampa looked at Nielsen as the place to be, that feeling is gone.

Was this Town Hall canceled?

Will we ever see the Pulse Survey results?

If people are this unhappy the Pulse Survey should reflect those feelings and concerns.

People Managers do not have to do as they are told, they choose to obey and not question mandates

Lower level employees have no skin in this, they can be easily replaced.

Managers have a more direct connection to senior leaders and can voice their concerns.

Well, a VP or a Director might have some possibility to manovre but a low level people managers are just executing. I have my own long term strategy for protecting my team, it’s working, maybe I’m paying myself this approach with lacking of
promotion etc … if I manage to find a resonable alternative I might give a up and leave space to someone else. In the end someone needs to pay the bill.

re: Why do people blame Kinney, blame should be on the people managers who allow their employees to be treated in this manner!
