Offshored to chin-a. What could go wrong with that?
Meanwhile in other news, water is wet.
State Street's tech sucks because just like the overall company, most of the knowledgeable employees were laid off and replaced with inexperienced hires and unskilled labor overseas. Any local IT employees that do remain end up getting overwhelmed with the number of responsibilities. This is when State Street executives bring in the IT vendors and contractors. These third-party companies know that State Street executives are not the brightest so they take advantage of the vulnerability causing more technical problems and costs for the company.
To summarize: State Street Corporation (STT) is great at making stupid choices and winning stupid prizes.
As a former tech worker I can tell you from experience. The job of the Tech and Software people, was to keep the obsolete equipment running.
You also have to understand the company reduced it IT staff with 15+++ years experience to save money. The people with all the knowledge of working with obsolete tech.
Now you have newbies with less than 5 years who are not working with such old tech.
Wow your post has so much information, duh
