But Nielsen is “Woke”! We are inclusive! We hire people to keep us sensitive to the needs of all cultures, they receive a large salary to make us aware of the injustices when it comes to people of color. It’s part of every Town Hall! Then we all go back to our jobs and try to keep a low profile so our Senior Management Team won’t make us part of the next round of layoffs.

It's interesting to read posts regarding MR and field as well as the call center(s). As a hack sales rep in the NorthEast for many, many years (prior to my "departure") charging clients hundreds of thousands of dollars and sometimes millions, I used to cringe when pushed by clients about accuracy of the "ratings." I had no fkng idea! Lol. I had a script that I used to get around said questions, but nobody on the client side ever really knew how the sausage was made. I can only imagine how less accurate and questionable the data will be moving forward in this new, complex video environment of cross platform/streaming. Glad I'm living the good life nowadays and not spinning my wheels in a cube somewhere trying to figure it all out for while the C suite and board live high on the hog!

I would love to hear about the new methodology in regards to future phone recruitment. With all the “spam” calls received these days how would Nielsen plan connect with said homes to recruit them? People already do not pick up their phones for unknown numbers.

With a 50% reduction in field staff I’m curious how that would impact the field reps? Without substantial changes in our current meters I do not see how a remote only or even 50% equipment installed remotely will work. Not with the current technology Nielsen has. Then again we do not know what’s coming down the pipeline…

RE: Call center Recruitment is the Future For Nielsen.

I concur...The call center reps are paid pennies per hour. No car, no car insurance, no cell phone, no expense report, no need to travel, and our bonus is basically pennies. Some are part time. Most work from home....which mean no overhead expenses.

I can see he panel size being affected tremendously!

RE: Would be nearly impossible to cut the field by 50%. If they are doing that then they may as well stop in person recruitment altogether.

Call center Recruitment is the Future For Nielsen.

Its all about efficiency and the new methodology ... It makes sense! 50% by December. Less cars, less salaries, less insurance, less bonuses = EM recouping their money

Lying director deflecting and gaslighting about upcoming layoffs!! This is the same person who instructed her team of 100 plus to not attend CP Town Hall meeting … that’s nielsen leadership at its finest!

Rumors of more layoffs is not motivating the current staff which has been asked to pick up extra assignments.

If the methodology is changing ...maybe it falls in line with their big picture. TheBE MORE EFFICIENT PICTURE!

Does not seem possible to reduce by 50 percent and maintain recruiting.

I'm not surprised ...that 50% should include managers as well.
