Once a company starts down the layoff road, there are few exits. Using layoffs and forced attrition is a strategy that traps a company into a “less is more” mentality. That is directly opposite to any growth strategy.
Now you have a new company with leadership that is h3llb3nt on taking the company public and making a small group of people a ton of $. Another strike at normalcy. Once they become public, there will be more scrutiny, so the time is NOW.
Kronos and Ultimate had a great run. I heard all the We Never Have Layoffs thing when I joined. “Yet”, I thought to myself. Wish I was wrong.
Think you're overreacting a bit. Telling us that you're in engineering or one of the other teams impacted isn't enough to pin point who you are. And even then, no one here has said anything that warrants an investigation.
I personally haven't heard anything from people I know in support or marketing, just the same things everyone else is being told.
