Acquisitions usually result in layoffs

Now that the acquisition by Emerson has been announced, I guess we should expect layoffs? Any insights?

Emerson supports low cost geographies including Manilla, Cluj and Peurto Rico.

Emerson does support hybrid work. There is a lot of fear that Emerson will go back on that and bring us back in.

With low cost geographies you get what you pay for.

All functional groups (Hr, legal, IT, accounting, Fp&a, real estate/facilities, procurement/supply chain) will be impacted where there is overlap and where 1 + 1 does not equal 3.
