Can you lose PTO? If you are working less hours or is PTO by amount of years worked?

Because they cut back on hours this year, I received a letter from HR stating I lost pto time. It's not my fault there are no hours for me to pick up. They are scheduling me bare minimum I was a 12-20 I'm barely getting 6 hrs it's not right.
You are allotted PTO based on years worked and your average hours worked the previous year. If the hours/days worked per week don't match up to the PTO draw you were given, you could lose PTO. One or two weeks won't do any harm, but if you spent a month with considerably less hours (or didn't work at all) you may lose some. If you leave the company and took pto you technically have not earned they will reclaim that time. Remember 2020? We all got our PTO reduced if we were out 1 or 2 months.
PTO is set so you have time off from the depts of he-l aka macys. while you are on PTO sharpen your resume and start blasting any other job asap . when you come back from PTO and accept the first job call back go to lunch and do not come back.
