Thread regarding Sabre Holdings layoffs

For some of us, this is a blessing in disguise

Of course I am very disappointed. I feel naive because I put in a lot of effort here and got "rewarded" with a layoff. I lost my job at a very difficult time for me.

However, somehow, despite everything, I try to think positively that this is a blessing in disguise. Because, could we progress further in our careers in a company that is clearly in a downward spiral? I doubt it.

Oh for sure a blessing in disguise. The company is a big steaming pile of you know what. They don't value their employees, never have, never will. The survivors are the good 'ol boys, not the best for the company. Take the hit, brush yourself off and move on, the industry is wide open, but stay the heck away from travel (they're hit the hardest when the economy tanks).
There are companies out there that will value your worth, I was with sabre for many years and left, found a company that values my knowledge, listens and respects me - and pays me a whole lot more than sabre ever did (if you're not one of the good 'ol boys, your bonus stinks even if you're responsible for bringing in multi million $ worth of revenue).
Go, be free, be happy and most of all be value and respected again (what does that look like - did you forget?).

The dodged ones are lawn mowers for Kyrt Ekerth. You shall succeed in petting the peeoo wackoo of his thy majesty in disguise of Sundhar the lab hero.

Indeed, I am looking for a decomposed flesh un-developer with strong Sabre business knowledge of dealing with a smellly problems. Reach out to me and to me, the senior flesh engineering travel ar.se washer (executive level, paid in sabre stocks counted negative bakcwards).

It's a blessing. You can always try to apply for a lawn mower.

It IS a blessing in disguise, no doubt! I left during the pandemic and landed in a MUCH better situation. It might seem tough now but believe me, your next gig will be for the best! Good luck to you!

For all of you it's a blessing in disguise. I was convinced I'd be impacted but somehow was not. I'm grateful to get to leave on my terms, but make no mistake, I'll be leaving because this place will be quickly hitting rock bottom under this leadership.

Everyone who was impacted is going to find something so much better and wonder why they stayed at long as they did as such a dysfunctional company.

it is a blessing in disguise..i can confirm this! take your time and have no negative thoughts about yourselves, your skills and expertise. the way the have handled these layoffs one more time shows how unprofessional this company is. there was no future because they have missed the boat long time ago. take your time to regroup and you will see that there are better and greater companies than this one. all the best to all of you great colleagues.
