If directors were not involved, then the next level in the chain - VPs would have to have been involved. I doubt anyone used a random number generator.

senior manager from mvd based outside of mvd and his director definitely knew.. they made "sure" to promote people before the crash so they can get higher positions on unemployment queue. those two always save their a-s from layoffs. they probably have a back in america. they should be the first to get the kick a long time ago along with the one who backs them up!

In our org, manager and directors were NOT asked for any input. We are shocked by the decisions made.

Who was involved when I (a Mgr) and my Director along with 99% of our team was RIF’d?? Any guesses on how the layoff list was created this time???

There was not any information on manager level. Decision was done on Director level. Nobody was asking managers about performance and any kind of rankings. And there were no information who will be laid off.
