Biggest reason would be the self serving leadership doing everything they can to move up the ladder.

Managers are out of touch with the hourly employee.

They talk about no raises in the same breath as they discuss their next vacation.

Managers are the worst. They manipulate things so their favorite people do well. The managers are not humans you want anything to do with. They only care about their friends while telling you it's a family. Some the people are so special and entitled, you have to take step back. You'd think they cured cancer or really contributed to society. Too much toxic positivity and narcissm. I'll be happy when there's a manager firing spree. But that kind of evil is untouchable.

Promotions only happen when "friend" with the manager.
Raise non existent
Low salary
The free coffee is very bad
performance review are a JOKE.

Does Nielsen still claim to have an "open door policy"? If so are there ways to contact the higher up new owners at Brookfield Business Partners L.P. or Evergreen Coast Capital with complaints or grievances for Nielsen? Do you view the new owners as ethical or unethical?

Some people do the work while others get the promotions. It's hugely unfair! everyone can see it but no one talks about it fearing they'd be shown the door. Discrimination at Nielsen is quite disgusting.

"How does Nielsen remove earned vacation time off? I don't understand."

Nielsen no longer has paid vacation as a benefit since years ago. It has unlimited time off that must be approved so how much you get depends on your bosses attitude for you.

How does Nielsen remove earned vacation time off? I don't understand.

As for "make people work for free" are you referring to something like this?

Raises get cancelled [none for 2023]
benefits get cancelled [earned vacation removed, stock incentive plan removed]
When raises are not cancelled they are very small
promotions rarely happen
performance reviews are fixed by directors/vps that we never talk with
management uses layoffs to fix financial forecast mistakes
hostile management trys to make people work for free
DEI used as a distractive divisive wedge
