Avaya employees (mostly marketing) posting tweets about their Employee Appreciation Dayoff today as thousands of their former collegues were laid off. Learn to read the room as these people are clueless.

Agree on completing "The Murph". It's one he-l of an achievement. Well done!
You'd have thought they would have learned their lesson after the very loud social media people who made total FOOLS of themselves (and Avaya) throughout all of last year. Waxing poetically how Avaya is better than ever doesn't change any facts. And the one thing Avaya can do is practice humility. It's the Least they can do. CEO claims he "hates that employees and shareholders lost money" or that "cuts were necessary" -- then PRACTICE what you PREACH.
Should those words be true, then at least your marketing team should have the decency to NOT encourage employees to post on social media about their great adventures on their EXTRA day off. The same employees who also possess unlimited vacation days (US -- and for non-US Employees you should know that giving so called unlimited vacation is how the US prevents paying $ out to employees so they can easily layoff anyone at anytime) while so many have neither a job or paid vacation days. And many lost significant money.
Do better. It's ridiculous. When will the arrogance end?
The entitlement attitude is still going strong. Every non essential employee plays victim and feels like they are owed. The real doers are gne or too busy to even pause to think of themselves. The non doers just think me me me.
Shareholders appreciation day? Oh, the actual owners of the company. The suckers. Brings up an interesting point, if Avaya would ever go public again what would the IPO price be and who in their right mind would buy it.
I think we should focus on celebrating the go getter. They in fact declared they were doing the "Murph" for the American Holiday. That is a dedicated person who is focused. Let's use our energy celebrating their hard work and focus.

To all those who were lucky to avoid been laid off, stay focused, ignore the noise, enjoy your day off come back with drive and determination, we will win, not sure what we will win but we will prevail.
Oh. Focused we are.
The volume of id--ts who remain is mind-blowing. It's really pours the salt into the open wound to witness the ridiculousness.
I'm overelmed at the lack of tact, respect or basic common sense. US Avaya never fails to underwhelm me.
"Dear Lord", say you?
There is only one social media obsessed person who repeatedly uses that expression. You know. It's all part of the personal brand to post a pic holding a blown up pic of self every 30 days for a year.everyrhing is always on repeat including Dear Lord.
It truly is interesting how someone doesn't want anyone to visualize what it really looks like to post your influencer pics.
It's also most interesting how many have missed the origin of this post. When you lose your job in the UK it is like losing a member of ones family. We get better packages, indeed. However the reason for that is because our prospects are bleek as jobs are to be for the long term. When the US crew woke up to our concerns, they decided to double down on the posts and patronize all of us.
Why not a Dear Lord for those of us facing perpetual unemployment? No, you reserve your Dear Lords to discourage people from seeing you for what you really are.
I'll repeat. I'm overelmed at the lack of tact, respect or basic common sense. US Avaya never fails to underwhelm me
What about shareholders appreciation day. This must of accidentally got overlooked…..
Fear not this 🔗 will take you to the profile and you can locate the post about Book of the Month Club (despite that no one is stealing anyone's personal info)

This is the most REAL unfiltered NOT Photoshopped account going! It's fantastic.
Dear lord people don't click on an Instagram reels link. It's a trap to capture your personal information.
Dont forget Shah
She didn't stop the nonsense even though SHE was THE Internal Controls Police.
She ONLY reported AFTER the irregularities were exposed so SHE could negotiate her PLEA DEAL with the SEC (oh, and collect her $1.2 m BONUS PLUS new equity in private Avaya).she never had a problem cashing in all of her options the previous 18 mos
Avaya peeps never know the difference between "Inside Voices" and "Outside Voices"
✓ Celebrating DPTW and a free day off is what should be considered an INSIDE VOICE
✓ Discussing a net new client GO LIVE should be an OUTSIDE VOICE
✓ Simply attending a meeting should not result in over a dozen posts and multiple heavily edited clever video montages. Attending a meeting or a conf = INSIDE VOICE
Yet, we realize we've had ZERO Reason to use an outside voice as we've had ZERO net-new clients in 7 plus years, so we belittle ourselves with clowns that blame others instead of following the rules.
And NO ONE CARES about Avaya employees personal lives. Stick to the work. Shut the Noise
I'm begging everyone on here...FOCUS
While Masarek is giving everyone a day off he LITERALLY STOLE from his employees taking their ESPP and RSUs and put them DIRECTLY in his pocket. THAT should be a drumbeat on every all hands, these posts, etc.
Ignore the noise and distractions...FOCUS on the real villain.
