Thread regarding Altice USA (Cablevision) layoffs

If you bought this stock two years ago ...

Congratulations, you turned $40 into $2.50. 😁😂🤣
I have pets that are smarter than the upper and middle management of this company.

It’s called throwing good money after bad. There are 2 types of people who buy and sell stocks: traders and long term investors. Traders don’t care about the long term aspects of a security, they’re primarily interested in the price fluctuations and timing buys and sells to turn a profit. Investors care about the longer term health of a business and buy to reap a profit over time where history shows you’ll make more than putting your money in the bank. Trading is for professionals, gamblers and many times, fools. Long term investing is for the rest of us. Put your money in a nice balanced index fund for your retirement. Leave the trading to the pros.

The individuals running this company simply are not in the same league as the previous owners/executive leadership of CableVision or Suddenlink. Before the acquisition both companies were well positioned for future growth and continued profitability. But almost immediately after PD’s group took over the day today operations it has been one bad (insane) decision after another followed by one failure after another. As long as PD has anything to do with either of these companies, it is going to continue to be a complete disaster.

I do not see this stock rebounding at all, I see it below $2.00 shortly. The executive leadership of this company has demonstrated time and time again they are unable to make the decisions necessary to run a profitable business in this country. Since taking control in 2016 they have time and time again made disastrous decisions that have negatively impacted their work force, which in turn had negative impacts on their customers which has led to plummeting subscriber numbers. They do not see this and never will see this. Ignorance and arrogance are horrible traits to have in your leadership, and this company has it by the truck load. The decision maker/makers at this company believe they are the smartest in the industry, and it’s impossible for those with that mentality to admit they are wrong or change their way of thinking. To prove my point PD continues to make a play for a British broadband company when he clearly can’t successfully operate what he already has.

My best friend knows someone who works for the company who said that the stock is predicted by many to move back into a favorable position based on current market indicators. That sounds like a possible investment opportunity to me although I am thinking it might drop another 10% before rebounding to possible higher market levels cresting over time; I would then sell. Thumbs up if you agree.
