Thread regarding USAA layoffs

Time for Mani and others to go

Mani is the worst leader I have ever seen. It is time for him and other former Wells Fargo leaders to go. Why would we hire these leaders that didn’t accomplish anything at Wells? They keep getting in trouble over there and some was under their watch. Mani is a sl--e ball. I stopped attending his calls.

Heard a rumor that Torben had some complaints that people accused him of being racist. However this is pure rumor, didn’t hear from anyone 1st hand.

@phb+1mS1wXgF, I’m curious about why you said that about Torben. I didn’t meet him or work with him directly, but he seemed like a good leader and person?

What about all the BoA guys who came from there are brought there BFFs? They don't take feedback well and are arrogant!

I’m not at all familiar with Mani as I’m in a totally different area. What exactly is wrong with him? I see him mentioned a LOT as being a poor leader but I have no direct experience with him.

I think sleaze ball is too strong, but I do not rate him or trust him! He is an ok Compliance and AML guy who is out of his depth here. He’s not a Risk Management leader and is a poster boy for a lot that is wrong at USAA. I would never sign up to work for him so you’ve got to ask yourself what kind of talent he attracts. He must manage up really well because his management style to his team is poor and I dread every single interaction with him which unfortunately is twice a week. Toxic!
