Thread regarding USAA layoffs

Managers at this place are clueless

They don't care about offering competitive salaries to attract smart, talented folks. No wonder the majority of the intelligent people with options up and leave for greener pastures elsewhere. It's like shooting ourselves in the foot and then trying to figure out why we can't keep the best and the brightest. It's high time someone realized that investing in good talent is the key to success.

My manager is a lemming with no ba--s. No ba--s at all. It’s embarrassing.

After they layoffs there are few smart, talented folks left. Just those that are lazy, love being busy (instead of productive) and mediocre performers.

Managers and directors don’t have any say in compensation. It’s all HR and they are strict when it comes to payment

The managers in the AML QA space are worthless. Most don't even know anything about AML where did they even find these people?

Definitely. They will end up with another consent order and cost them more in the long run if they play this game. You get what you pay for.

...and/or, Management receiving the feedback, and then discounting it entirely because it isn't what they want to hear...

I think (for what it is worth) not being able to take feedback well from people who have the experience because our ego won't let you, is one of the Leaderships biggest problems.
