Thread regarding USAA layoffs

“I just wonder if the sad I’d be without [USAA] is less than the sad I get from being with [USAA].”

How soon after resignation do we have access to withdraw 401K and Pension (the new one) funds? Will any funds in your Dependent Care Savings (company paid, no employee contribution) account be disbursed?

18 day waiting period for 401k, and my understanding is that you have up to 90 days to liquidate the pension, but I got different answers from different fidelity reps.

Fidelity runs the 401k and pension. You can still log into that account if no longer employed. You can take direct or indirect funds. Talk to a financial advisor to understand the actions and tax implications. The funds are yours and up to you if you want to move or just take out.

USAA will cut you a check for your 401k usually within 3-4 weeks.
