Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Glassdoor begging

HR email begging for reviews on Glassdoor.

Would any of you care to make a recommendation? I think that the stealth layoffs on the 3rd Thursday of the month is a giant selling point. We never know how many, or what groups were affected because leadership lacks the intestinal fortitude to discuss it.

I know someone that works for the team that's responsible for the migration to that system, the management and that team is a joke. The manager spends half their time on calls helping 1 person on the team and the rest are just there for cleaning up data. No one owns anything and there's 0 direction from management on anything until something goes wrong.

Just remember you can file for unemployment the day after your last day at work.

Don't let this place make you think you have to wait for your severance to run out before filing.

AI can run the NOCs, call centers, retail, etc. Just ask TT! Hope it works better than 3GIS.

Pretty tacky of this company to do this, we need to attract top level talent to this company. Lays off some of the most talented/productive people in the NOCs.

There were people who would have opted for the voluntary package.

I wonder if that groomer on the front page got to keep his/her/whatever they are job?

Windstream had company wide layoffs last Thursday. Most were the result of ilec clec spinoff. Windstream selling off their ilec customers. Windstream hired in new employees then laid off the rest. Common for Windstream.

Here is my review of Windstream. This company continues to devalue its employees and gutting the people that understand on how to make things work. It’s most departments across the board. Promoting within to management positions doesn’t happen and picking up lip service blowhards off the street is the new direction. Getting any issue resolved now needs to go through several layers of leads until we find somebody with 2 brain cells to rub together. How can a CEO that basically bet on this company and lost which ended up in bankruptcy still run this ship? How, tell me how ! I seriously believe the latest layoffs and company decisions on many issues are positioning Windstream to deal this dog away… of course Elliot Management group will more than likely make that call anyway because it’s time for them to get paid.

Seriously - did HR send out one of those emails again begging for positive reviews to cover their own failings?
