Lye was building an empire so most of the products were bought to fill out his vision for a company to compete with the rest of NetApp by design. So the products without Lye have no hope of success after he left without his sponsorship. By design they don't integrate or appeal to the existing customer base and are not setup to sell by NTAP sales....

Lye got a nice golden parachute and made a fortune at his next company... the people that trusted him got screwed.....

spot been going down hill ever since new leadership ex-splunk took over and brought her two splunk american friends along. former sales leader in uk has been 'demoted' to first line manager for land team

imagine not being able to meet revenue numbers for a solution that saves costs in a recession haha - you all sure know how to mess up a company

Spot team has layoffs with top performers being let go. Clearly revenue growth is not a priority

I suspect it's a lot of cloud products that haven't done squat since being acquired.

Letting go of Sales means, no more growth for a particular segment/market. Sales brings in the business, what is NetApp getting rid off...E-Series or SolidFire?

I know of a few "organizational changes" made, not layoffs of course, heaven forbid no.

So another possible wave on Tuesday? Can’t imagine they would layoff anyone at converge

Technically, a layoff is a specific way for a specific reason to get people out of a company, there are others, we all look at them as a "layoff" because the end effect is the the same. So saying no layoff could be using weasel words. Like saying we're not raising prices, we're just shrinking the size.
These cuts, especially with the timing, smell like a reduction of staff not performing to expectations. Which might be why they're trickling out at different times.
Someone reached out to me on Tuesday saying they were let go, so I know at least one was cut. Thursday I can't speak to but I was told to wait until after SKO before reaching out to a team. I asked if there was going to be some changes in direction that would impact this solution, he said yea the team might not be here.

For those claiming another round on Tuesday, why split up today’s and the supposed next Tuesday’s? Doesn’t make any sense.

Isn’t that GK said no planned layoffs two days ago? Sales layoffs don’t count?

It was a good run 🫡
See you next Tuesday, this was expected

Enterprise Sales was hit today with a focus on reducing SKO travel.... BDM's, AE's, SA's and other overlay/manager roles were hit that were expected to go to SKO.... another round is expected next week that will cover a broader set of teams approx Tuesday.... WARN act was not triggered so numbers will be under 4%... so this is a silent layoff...

and the Troll is silent.
