I ask every customer if they have a Macys card. If they don't want one I don't push it. I also ask about Bronze if they don't want a card. Not good enough for my manager. We are on the middle of the EXCEL contest ( like I care ) and we have to get everyone to participate blah ,blah ,blah. If you haven't noticed we are in a recession mo--ns. I wouldn't even have a Macys card if my discount wasn't attached to it. I get credits when I can im not going to force a charge on someone. Im tired of being targeted (in front of customers no less) because I didn't get a credit today. This manager is half my age and treats me like something she's scraped off her shoe. Im done playing nice. Its time for us all to stand up to these id--ts and don't open any charges AT ALL!!

Citibank behind the card will do this. Macys makes a lot of money from the partnership with Citibank.
It turns customers off to be pushed for it though. Charge kickbacks must be more profitable than regular sales.
Subtly suggest that the customers complain to corporate.
Honestly I hate these credit and don’t agree at all about pushing it when customers said no. But it is part of my job. If I want to stay and work here, I have to deal with it or I go find myself another job. I’m almost there though.
They now want manager to document those not good with loyalty and if manager total loyalty isn't good thet get document as well. Its a bad time for opening credits.
better yet.. safe yourself alot of stress and go get another job.. let your useless younger manager play on her phone all day pretending to work..
