Thread regarding ViacomCBS layoffs

PBEs

Oh how I wish the project base employees could come together at a time like this. Unionize! He-l, something. The amount of fellow coworkers I have that have been promised for years they’d be made staff is disgusting. They’re doing the same exact work with the exact same hours and titles as other staff members in their own department. ViacomCBS is really too cheap to give their loyal, long-term employees basic a-s benefits? Shame.

@agp+1mtukKZg 100% the downvotes came from the same person who doesn't know what esg is or how its destroying the industry.

PBE for about five years now and honestly I couldn't be happier about it. I make more money this way because I work so much overtime. I make enough to buy my own health insurance. And during layoffs I've been safe (so far) since staff always gets axed first. So yeah I know stuff is messed up, but just had to say, from my POV, being a PBE at Paramount has been a massive blessing to me.

I don't know where you guys think the money is coming from. executive salaries are bonuses are bribes from ESG investors to push an extreme political perspective. those funds were never intended to make their way to payroll or reinvested back into the company.
